Job ScopeThe Discipline Support Officer (DSO) will report operationally to the Student Management Committee Investigative & Case Support • Assist in conducting preliminary investigations and fact-finding interviews including checking accounts with involved students, staff, and witnesses, and reviewing CCTV recordings to establish facts. • Obtain student and witness statements where appropriate and compile evidence and prepare structured incident reports to relevant Key Personnel (KPs) for directions • Follow up with students and relevant parties based on established findings, and communicate consequences with prior approval from school leaders or key personnel. Detention, Suspension & Restorative Follow-Up • Conduct restorative sessions and reflection sessions with students involved in discipline cases. • Work with Form teachers to ensure that students report for detention or recess/event suspension • Engage or Supervise detention sessions and recess/event suspensions • Ensure that detention rules are kept to during detention sessions • Maintain attendance and behavioural records during the detention sessions • Update and follow up with any detention/suspension defaulters Student Management & Supervision • Monitor recess duties • Conduct patrols during after-school hours, particularly around play areas and side gates, to ensure student safety and orderly conduct. The officer may also be assigned any other administrative and operational duties pertaining to student management as directed by the school. RequirementsQualification Minimum GCE 'O' Level or equivalent. Relevant certifications in counselling, social work, restorative practices, or discipline management will be an advantage. Working Experience The officer must have relevant experience in investigating and following up on discipline or conduct-related cases, and in conducting reflection and restorative sessions, preferably in a primary school setting. Competencies • Calm and proportionate behavioural intervention • Sound judgement, discretion and professionalism • Accurate incident observation and documentation The DSO is expected to: • Demonstrate professionalism, discretion and good judgment • Engage students respectfully and constructively • Uphold confidentiality and procedural fairness • Collaborate effectively with teachers and SM personnel Contract Period: 14 July 2026, on all school days through to 20 November 2026 (option to extend: 4 Jan 2027 to 26 Nov 2027) Working Arrangement: • Mondays to Fridays: 9am to 3:30pm, exclusive of lunch break. Start and end time may be adjusted depending on school needs. • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays and school holidays (e.g. Youth Day) • The school reserves the right to change or cancel sessions due to school events, emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances • Deployment schedule will be determined by the school in accordance with the termly school timetable and school events Salary: $19 to $21 per month Location: Hougang EA License No.: 96C4864 Reg.
