Job Summary We are sourcing a Senior Financial Analyst for a 6-month maternity cover to manage and analyse staff-related costs, partnering with Finance and HR teams to deliver accurate financial insights and support workforce cost planning. Responsibilities • Manage and analyse staff-related costs including salaries, bonuses, benefits, and other people expenses to ensure accurate financial reporting • Prepare and review accruals, journal entries, and monthly closing activities related to people costs to maintain financial accuracy • Support budgeting and forecasting processes for staff cost planning to enable effective resource allocation • Provide variance analysis and actionable financial insights to support informed business decision-making • Collaborate with Finance stakeholders across the organisation to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data related to people costs • Partner with HR Business Partner to address workforce-related financial matters and improve cost management • Maintain data integrity and consistency across reporting systems to ensure reliable financial information Required competencies and certifications • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline • Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or equivalent • Strong foundation in accounting principles, including accruals and journal postings • Proven experience in financial analysis with exposure to staff or overhead cost management • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables Preferred competencies and qualifications • Experience with SAP, OneStream, or similar financial systems • Effective stakeholder management skills, with experience working across finance teams • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly Other Information • This is a fixed-term contract role for maternity cover • Candidates available to commence on short notice are welcome to apply
