Software Developer (JT) (Banking)

Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain the ETRS application, using Django Python • Build secure and scalable REST APIs and backend services, following best practices related to standards and control of software engineering, testing and release management • Implement complex business logic (e.g. compute risk metrics, generate dashboards, workflows and data quality checks) • Develop and maintain responsive UI components using HTML and CSS • Work closely with BAs and/or UX teams to deliver intuitive user interfaces • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization • Be part of an Agile team, understand the user requirements and contribute to the evolution of the product • Implement and maintain software quality metrics such as clean coding, code coverage, system performance and system security • Support code migration using the standard CI/CD pipeline, deployment and release management • Provide L3 support to the L1/L2 production support team • Attend to all issues and fix them as per SLA Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills • Strong hands-on experience in Django Python framework • Proven experience with MariaDB/MySQL in high-transaction systems • Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS • Experience building secure REST APIs • Experience with Linux environments and Git version control • Familiarity with NGINX/Apache • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks Additional Skills (Preferred) • Experience with Docker / Kubernetes • Exposure to microservices architecture • Good knowledge about software development lifecycle is a big plus • Experience with Java, Angular, React, Cloud Computing platforms • Awareness of security practices such as encryption, authentication, and fraud prevention Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • 5–10+ years of software development experience • Minimum 3+ years working on banking or financial systems (required) Soft Skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Attention to detail, especially for data accuracy and data completeness • Good written and spoken English • Ability to work in a fast-paced, output-driven environment This job advertisement is posted by: Tan Geok Khim (Deng Yuqin) (R22107857) A-IT Software Services Pte Ltd EA License No: 24C2345 “By submitting your application for this position, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data by A-IT Software Services and its recruitment partners, including Employment and Employability Institute Pte Ltd, for the purpose of i) employment facilitation and ii) data and statistical analysis.
