Key Highlights• Contract Duration: 1 year • Salary Range: $2,580 – $3,160 per month • Working Hours: Mon – Thu: 9.00 – 6.30 Fri: 9.00am – 6.00pm • May be required to work 1 weekend (Sat or Sun) up to twice a month • Work Location: 1 Defu Avenue 1 Key Responsibilities1. Direct Care & Daily Support • Shadow and support residents with challenging behaviours during daily routines • Provide structured assistance for youths with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) • Assist with personal care needs for low-functioning residents • Implement visual schedules and structured routines • Manage sensory sensitivities and environmental triggers 2. Engagement & Enrichment Activities • Engage residents in recreational and enrichment programmes • Adapt activities based on individual functioning levels • Conduct sensory-appropriate and therapeutic activities • Facilitate small group sessions to build social skills • Support modified physical activities based on abilities • Use visual supports and social stories to enhance understanding 3. Community-Based Support • Accompany residents for community outings and external activities • Manage behavioural triggers in public settings • Support smooth transitions between environments • Teach appropriate social behaviours and coping strategies • Ensure safety and supervision during community exposure 4. Rehabilitation & Case Support • Participate in Individual Care Plan (ICP) discussions and implementation • Collaborate with occupational therapists, psychologists, and allied professionals • Document behavioural observations and progress reports • Implement behaviour management strategies • Support daily living skills development 5. Therapeutic & Crisis Support • Apply therapeutic techniques as guided by specialists • Use communication tools such as PECS, visual aids, and other systems • Assist in crisis prevention and de-escalation • Provide sensory regulation support • Support social skills training and behavioural interventions Requirements• Diploma or Degree (including Degree with Honours) in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Counselling, or related fields preferred • Experience working with youths with special needs is highly preferred • Strong understanding of behavioural management strategies • Knowledge of developmental disabilities and appropriate interventions • Ability to remain calm in challenging or crisis situations • Physically fit and able to walk, stand, and climb stairs • Able to assist with mobility support when required • Strong observational and documentation skills Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
