Position OverviewMayflower Primary School is seeking a dedicated and competent Student Management Support Officer. The successful candidate will work closely with the school’s Discipline Team and Subject Head of Student Management to maintain an orderly, safe, and positive environment conducive to student learning. This role involves monitoring student discipline, patrolling school grounds, and assisting with case management for at-risk students. Key Responsibilities1. Daily Discipline & Student Supervision• Discipline Team Support: Assist school staff daily in the overall management and enforcement of student discipline. • Campus Patrols: Conduct daily patrols of school premises to ensure orderliness, safety, and compliance with school rules. • Grooming & Attire Checks: Conduct and follow up on regular spot-checks regarding students’ general neatness in appearance (e.g., proper attire and hairstyle). • Administrative Recording: Maintain accurate administrative records of spot-check outcomes and discipline infractions. 2. Behavioral Intervention & Ad-Hoc Detention• Detention Management: Man ad-hoc detention sessions held after school hours for late comers. • Class Suspensions: Oversee and supervise students who have been temporarily suspended from attending regular classes. • Corrective Work Orders (CWO): Supervise and enforce the execution of CWOs, ensuring students properly carry out canteen and classroom cleaning duties. 3. Case Management & Collaboration• At-Risk Student Support: Actively participate in case management efforts for students identified as at-risk. • Investigations & Reporting: Conduct formal investigations as part of case management workflows and compile detailed, objective reports. • Case Meetings: Attend and contribute to ad-hoc Case Management Meetings with school leaders and teachers. • General Duties: Perform any other student-related operational duties as assigned by School Leaders or the Subject Head, Student Management. Job Requirements & QualificationsMinimum Qualifications• Education: Must have passed GCE 'N' Level or its equivalent. • Residency: Must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident. Preferred Qualifications & Registrations• MOE Registration: Preferably registered with the Ministry of Education (MOE) via the REMS portal. • Experience: Prior experience working within a school environment or managing student/youth behavior is a strong advantage. Essential Skills & Competencies• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and school staff. • Team Work & Initiative: Strong team player who displays a high level of initiative and collaborates smoothly on student matters. • Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Terms of Deployment• Contract Duration: 1 Year (From 15 July 2026 to 14 July 2027). • Work Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 7:15 AM to 2:30 PM (includes a 45-minute lunch break). • Rest Periods: Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays, and official MOE school holidays (March, June, September, November, and December). • Interview Requirement: Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to an interview to assess final suitability.
