Key responsibilitiesStudent Emotional & Behavioural Support• Provide first-line emotional and pastoral support to students. • Support students who may be anxious, distressed, withdrawn, or emotionally overwhelmed. • Apply active listening, restorative practices, and de-escalation techniques to support students constructively. • Build positive and trusting relationships with students while maintaining professional boundaries. • Encourage positive coping strategies, emotional regulation, and resilience. Case Management & Well-being Monitoring• Monitor and support students who may require additional emotional or behavioural support. • Maintain appropriate records relating to student support, interventions, and follow-ups. • Work closely with school stakeholders to coordinate student support efforts. • Observe and report concerns relating to student well-being, attendance, or behaviour where necessary. Incident Response & Student Support• Respond appropriately to student incidents, emotional distress situations, or behavioural concerns. • Support the de-escalation of situations while prioritising student safety and well-being. • Provide immediate emotional support to students when required. Preventive & Well-being Programmes• Support or facilitate student well-being initiatives, social-emotional learning (SEL), or peer support activities. • Assist in preventive efforts aimed at promoting positive student behaviour and emotional well-being. • Encourage peer connectedness and a positive school environment. Family & Stakeholder EngagementCommunicate professionally and sensitively with parents or guardians regarding student well-being matters when required. Coordinate with relevant internal or external stakeholders to support student well-being initiatives. Requirements • Diploma or higher qualification in Education, Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Community Services, or related disciplines will be an advantage. • Experience in student support, pastoral care, counselling support, mentoring, community engagement, or related environments will be an advantage. • Candidates with experience working with children, youths, or in education-related environments are welcome to apply. • Ability to manage challenging or sensitive situations in a calm, professional, and composed manner. • Good interpersonal, conflict resolution, and behaviour support skills. • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgement in accordance with organizational guidelines.
