About this role
You will enjoy having these responsibilities: This System Assurance Manager is reporting directly to the Head of Technical Safety. The System Assurance Manager is responsible for enforcing the safety strategy, developing and continuously improving safety methodologies, execution of Safety Engineering activities in accordance with the company’s process, applicable industry standards, best practices and sharing expert knowledge. • Ensure RAMS Engineering activities are executed in accordance with the company’s process, applicable industry standards and best practices • Provide leadership and training to the project RAMS team • Perform hazard identification studies (HAZID, HAZOP), hazard analyses (PHA, SHA, OSHA, FTA), safety analyses (FFMEA, FMECA, FSA) and hazard management • Define safety requirements; analyze and evaluate design compliance with safety requirements and safety principles • Review safety test strategies, plans, procedures, scenarios and test results; • Review Installation, Cut-in / Cut-out, T&C, and Deployment method statements; • Review the adequacy and completeness of safety evidence and produce safety artefacts; • Ensure effective communication of Safe Operating Requirements (SORs) to Customer; • Perform RAM analyses and manage RAM demonstration; • Be the interfacing point with Customer, external and internal parties for project RAMS coordination and reporting; • Maintain KPI on RAMS activities including: Quality, Cost and Deadlines; • Other tasks as assigned by the direct manager. You have: • B.Sc. in Engineering Fields of Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science, or related discipline • Minimum 10 years of experience in RAMS Engineering on railway safety-related systems, preferrable SIL2 systems and above. • Good knowledge of CENELEC (EN) Railway RAMS Standards • Good knowledge of railway signalling principles and CBTC system • Good understanding of systems engineering, software engineering and functional safety • Good technical writing skills, excellent communication and analytical skills; excellent command of the English language, both written and oral Preferred Qualifications: • M.Sc. in Engineering Fields of Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science, or related discipline • At least 5 years of RAMS experience on CBTC system, or in various Design & Engineering (System, HW and/or SW), Integration, Testing, Verification and/or Validation role of CBTC system. • Working knowledge of Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) and/or Solid-State Interlocking (SSI) • Member of Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE)
