Systems Analyst (Java) | Contract

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Systems Analyst (Java) to support the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications and web-based systems. The ideal candidate should have strong technical, analytical, and project management skills with hands-on experience in Java technologies and enterprise system delivery. Responsibilities • Gather and analyse user requirements to translate them into detailed application specifications that meet business needs • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain enterprise and web-based application systems to ensure robust functionality • Support database design and optimize system integration to enhance application performance and scalability • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery • Perform troubleshooting, testing, deployment, and production support to maintain system reliability and user satisfaction • Ensure compliance with development standards and best practices to uphold software quality and security • Participate actively in project planning, technical reviews, and documentation to support project governance and knowledge sharing Required competencies and certifications • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems analysis, design, development, implementation, and quality assurance • Proficient in gathering and translating user requirements into technical solutions independently • Skilled in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) methodologies • Hands-on experience with Java Enterprise technologies and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Web) • Experience developing web-based applications using frameworks such as Angular, AngularJS, JQuery, or Struts • Proficient with persistence frameworks like Hibernate or JPA for data management • Skilled in relational database management systems such as DB2, SQL Server, or Oracle • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills Preferred competencies and qualifications • Experience with IBM MQ or other messaging systems to support asynchronous communication • Knowledge of Responsive Web Design and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles • Familiarity with Pega technologies for business process management • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and source control tools to streamline development workflows • Exposure to AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Amazon Q Developer to enhance coding efficiency • Vendor management experience to coordinate third-party service delivery Other Information • Employment type: Contract - 24 months • Location: Central Region, Singapore • Working Hours: 8:30AM to 6:00PM (Mon-Fri) • Salary: $6000 - 7800 per month (no bonus) • Working Arrangement: Full Onsite/Hybrid EA Licence No. 20S0237
