PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is hiring for a Technical Developer (Contract) internship — a 12-month, on-site Software Engineering role based in Singapore. It is an unpaid internship. It is open to university students, typically in Year 2–4. Applicants with experience in JSON, Camel, Jenkins, DevOps, and Tomcat are a strong fit.
About this role
Responsibilities: • Use and manage vendor augmented resources and ensure work assignments for high utilization and effective, quality outcomes while avoiding re-work • Drive technical innovation to enhance functional and technical capabilities of the platform • Build frameworks for configuration instead of code for each component • Communicate with technical and non-technical resources and work with limited direction while being highly productive • Apply standards and industry frameworks while leverage existing technologies and tools . • Implement solutions considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance. • Produce detailed design /low level design documents that communicate the system design effectively • Drive adherence to development, configuration management and deployment standards for solutions • Analyze performance test, vulnerability assessments and any other test related issues that arise during projects • Manage, address and resolve project-related technical issues in a timely fashion, ensuring necessary escalation and communication to stakeholders as necessary • Select, train, develop and manage technical team members in a conducive team environment • Lead multi-vendor teams to successfully deliver solutions • Guide the project team in issue resolution to meet the requirements and timelines Requirement: • Degree with 8+ years of current, hands on technical experience • Go getter attitude with strong analytical and problem solving skills • General understanding of banking and knowledge and application of banking technology and regulations/compliance Solid understanding of: • LINUX O/S and/or RedHat platform and scripting skills • Java and internet-related components (i.e: JSON, XML) • Spring boot, Camel, FTP • Microservices Experiences • Jboss, Tomcat., Database, Sql • DevOps suite of products (i.e: Jenkins, GitHub, Sonar, Aldon, etc) • Connect Direct, SFTP, basic UNIX commands • Perf tuning and automation in general • Working knowledge of microservice implementation, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and Kafka. • Experience of complete software development lifecycles – waterfall and agile project experience Interested candidates, who wish to apply for the above position, please send your resume to mohamed.basith@persolapac.com We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
