The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) invites applications for the position of Visiting Professor in Wireless Communications and Signal Processing at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE). NTU has developed a world-leading position in the fundamental research on wireless communications, signal processing and next generation 6G networks and beyond. Further development of advanced wireless communications and signal processing at NTU is to enable the translation of the results of fundamental studies into technologies on 6G and beyond, positioning NTU and Singapore at the forefront of the telecommunications industry of the future. In this connection, the School of EEE is looking for a visiting professor who has successfully adapted himself/herself to work in the fields of wireless communications and signal processing. The ideal candidate should have strong research experience, achievements and contributions in emerging areas of wireless communications and signal processing. He/she is expected to develop strategies for NTU’s telecommunication research and contribute to NTU’s effort in bidding for new mega research programs in telecommunication. • Work with NTU’s research team to develop strategies for NTU’s wireless communications and signal processing research, especially in analog / wave domain signal processing. • Assist NTU in recruiting promising young scientists and engineers in the area of telecommunications as faculty and research staff. • Enhance NTU’s international visibility and impact by helping to promote NTU, as well as helping the School of EEE establish potentially rewarding international exchanges and contacts that would lead to fruitful international research collaborations and funding. • Contribute to EEE postgraduate programme to train postgraduates in telecommunications which are highly demanded by the industry in recent years. By providing a short course on wireless communication related topics to postgraduate and undergraduate students. Or by conducting guest lecture on wireless communication related topics during postgraduate and undergraduate courses. Requirements: Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply: • Full professor in wireless communications and signal processing from a reputable university. • At least 10 years of work experience in electrical and electronic engineering, especially in telecommunications. • More than 5 years of managerial and/or leadership experience in university research. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
