Job Summary We are seeking a qualified and proactive Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) to oversee workplace safety and health compliance, promote a strong safety culture, and minimize operational risks. The role is responsible for ensuring adherence to Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health regulations through inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, training, and continuous improvement of safety systems. Key Responsibilities • Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and audits to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards. • Develop, implement, and maintain Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and programs. • Perform risk assessments and recommend effective preventive and corrective actions to mitigate workplace risks. • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and preventive measures. • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, safety briefings, drills, and training sessions for employees and contractors. • Ensure full compliance with Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health Act and all relevant statutory requirements. • Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, incident logs, and statutory documentation. • Support emergency preparedness initiatives, including fire drills, evacuation exercises, and response planning. • Collaborate closely with management, supervisors, and production teams to enhance safety performance and foster a strong safety culture. Requirements • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Health, or related discipline. • Registered or eligible for registration as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with Singapore MOM. • 2–5 years of relevant experience in workplace safety, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or process industries. • Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations, risk management, and incident investigation methodologies. • Good communication, training, and report writing skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. • Independent handling of audits, risk assessments, investigations • Preferred Qualifications in MOM-registered WSHO certification, Experience with ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 safety management systems & Additional certifications such as Work-at-Height, Confined Space, or industry-specific safety training. • Key Skills : Hazard identification & risk assessment, Incident investigation & root cause analysis, Safety training & communication, Regulatory compliance, Reporting & documentation, Problem-solving & attention to detail, Team collaboration & influencing skills, etcs. • Willing to work in East Region (Changi North Crescent)
