About the Role The Talent People is recruiting a Part-Time Youth Worker to be deployed at Bishan in support of the school's after-school engagement centre. This is a meaningful, hands-on role focused on building genuine relationships with secondary school students and running structured programmes that support their social-emotional development and school connectedness. Key Responsibilities • Maintain a consistent physical presence at the Canopy Room during stipulated hours, engaging students in a warm, firm, and professional manner • Plan and implement group programmes and workshops for targeted students requiring greater after-school supervision • Build positive relationships with students and foster a sense of belonging to the school community • Equip students with socio-emotional skills through structured programmes • Collaborate with Committee teachers on programme design, student needs, and feedback • Support Learning Journeys or Excursions for Canopy-identified students as an additional staff member • Observe and identify student needs; utilise screening tools when required; discuss intervention plans with school personnel • Provide administrative support on Canopy-related matters as needed Schedule Afternoon Shift (Firm Requirement): • Monday to Friday: 2:00pm – 5:00pm (3 hours/day) • Term 3 (29 Jun – 3 Sep 2026) and Term 4 (14 Sep – 30 Oct 2026) Morning Shift (Optional — subject to availability): • Tuesday to Thursday: 10:00am – 12:30pm (2.5 hours/day) • Friday: 12:00pm – 3:00pm (3 hours/day) Not required on weekends, public holidays, or school holidays (unless specifically notified). Requirements • Diploma in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience in youth work) • Minimum 1 year of experience in social work, youth work, or a related helping role • Experience designing and facilitating group programmes for adolescents • Strong rapport-building and interpersonal skills; comfortable working with at-risk youth • Able to maintain firmness while remaining approachable • Competent in working with school staff, community partners, and external stakeholders • Preferably bilingual (English + Mandarin or Malay) • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident preferred Employment Details • Employer: The Talent People Pte.
