About the Role The Talent People Pte. Ltd. is recruiting a Youth Worker to support the UPLIFT Programme at Woodgrove Secondary School. Working closely with the Student Management Team, Year Heads, and School Counsellors, you will play a key role in mentoring and engaging identified students through structured interventions, relationship-building, and positive youth development initiatives. This role focuses on strengthening students' school connectedness, resilience, social-emotional competencies, and overall engagement in school life. Key Responsibilities Student Engagement & Mentorship • Support the implementation of the school's UPLIFT Programme and related student engagement initiatives • Build positive and supportive mentoring relationships with identified students through regular interaction and engagement • Facilitate structured activities, discussions, reflection sessions, and developmental conversations • Encourage positive behaviours, resilience, self-awareness, and stronger school engagement among students • Conduct individual and small-group engagement sessions for students requiring additional support Student Support & Monitoring • Monitor student participation, engagement, and progress within programme activities • Provide observations and feedback to relevant school personnel to support student development plans • Support students in navigating challenges relating to behaviour, motivation, attendance, and social-emotional wellbeing • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries while building trust and rapport with students Collaboration & Programme Administration • Collaborate with Student Management personnel, Year Heads, School Counsellors, and other stakeholders involved in student support • Participate in programme briefings, review meetings, and case discussions where required • Maintain accurate attendance records, engagement logs, and programme documentation • Support programme evaluation and reporting activities as required by the school Requirements • Diploma in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Youth Work, Community Services, Education, or a related discipline • Minimum 1 year of experience working with youths, adolescents, or students requiring additional support • Experience within schools, youth agencies, social service organisations, mentoring programmes, or community-based initiatives will be advantageous • Valid MOE Registration Management System (REMS) registration, or eligibility to be registered where applicable • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with adolescents • Ability to manage challenging situations calmly, professionally, and objectively • Comfortable using technology and digital systems for documentation and reporting • Ability to build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries • Collaborative, dependable, and committed to supporting student wellbeing and development Application Instructions Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV and indicate the following information: • Current salary • Expected salary • Notice period • MOE REMS registration status Please note that remuneration for this position is budgeted at up to S$3,000 per month.
