Summary of Role The Business Development/Sales Manager drives business growth by aligning skilled BIM (Building Information Modelling) professionals with client projects. This role blends sales expertise with technical knowledge to manage resources, develop client relationships, and optimize team deployment. Key Responsibilities • Manage resource planning and allocate BIM consultancy professionals to meet project demands effectively • Develop and sustain strong relationships with main contractors, consultants, and developers to secure business opportunities • Identify new business prospects and prepare tailored project proposals to win contracts • Match BIM coordinators, managers, and planners with client project requirements to ensure technical fit • Conduct client meetings to assess project scope and staffing needs accurately • Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms with clients and subcontractors to achieve favorable agreements • Monitor resource utilization rates and project profitability to optimize operational efficiency • Build and maintain a robust network of skilled BIM professionals and subcontractors within the construction sector Preferred competencies and qualifications • Minimum 5 years of experience in resource management, or sales in construction/consultancy. • Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field • Diploma holders with a strong track record in relevant fields are encouraged to apply • Strong understanding of BIM roles and construction project workflows. • Proven track record in client relationship management and business development. • Experience with construction or engineering consultancy services is an advantage. • Excellent negotiation and communication skills. • Strong networking skills and industry connections in the construction sector.
