About this role
We are seeking a proactive Business Support Officer to join the Business Support & Project Management team within the Operations Department of a banking institution. This role focuses on system enhancement, project coordination, digital transformation initiatives, and operational process improvement, supporting both business and regulatory requirements. You will be involved in core banking system upgrades, UAT testing, process optimization, and reporting activities, working closely with internal stakeholders across operations, IT, and business teams. Key Responsibilities• Participate in industry working group meetings and follow up on key initiatives • Support and coordinate system enhancement projects, including requirement gathering, testing (UAT), and production rollout • Perform functional testing and business verification for core banking system upgrades • Drive digital transformation initiatives and support localization of operational processes • Improve and streamline internal workflows, including drafting SOPs and operational manuals • Conduct internal training on system functions and process changes • Prepare and generate statistical, operational, and regulatory reports for management review • Support daily business monitoring and reporting activities • Assist in ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by Department Head Requirements• Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Banking, Finance, Business, or related discipline • Experience in banking operations, project management, or system testing is an advantage • Familiarity with local payment systems (e.g. MEPS+, GIRO, FAST, PayNow, e-GIRO) is a plus • Strong analytical and data handling skills will be advantageous • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus for business communication • Proactive, willing to learn, and able to work in a fast-paced environment • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
