Cloud Infrastructure Consultant - Contract

Role Overview We are seeking a Principal DevSecOps & Cloud Infrastructure Consultant to join our client's Centre of Excellence (CoE). This strategic leadership role drives modernisation of our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD practices, balancing hands-on technical expertise with stakeholder engagement and team mentorship to deliver organisation-wide transformation. Key Responsibilities • Strategic Advisory: Provide expertise on DevSecOps and cloud infrastructure best practices across the organisation. • Discovery & Planning: Assess current technology setups and design comprehensive modernisation roadmaps. • Stakeholder Management: Present solutions and communicate business value effectively to diverse technical and non-technical audiences. • Team Leadership: Mentor CoE team members and guide cross-departmental adoption of tools and practices. • Hands-on Enablement: Conduct workshops to implement new tools and practices, ensuring successful adoption. Key Initiatives — First 6 to 9 Months 1. CI/CD Migration Lead transition of pipelines from Jenkins to Azure DevOps, ensuring continuity and quality throughout. 2. Operational Independence Design self-sufficient operational models enabling departments to manage their own workflows effectively. 3. Infrastructure Assessment Evaluate Azure infrastructure for security vulnerabilities, cost optimisation opportunities, and performance improvements. 4. Shared Asset Development Develop reusable CI/CD templates and tools for organisation-wide adoption and standardisation. Required Skills & Qualifications 1. Technical Expertise • Azure DevOps — pipelines, repos, boards • Terraform — infrastructure as code • Kubernetes — container orchestration • Cloud networking (Azure & AWS) 2.
