School in East area Singapore seeking Discipline Assistant (contract). Roles & Responsibilities Working Hour • Mondays to Thursdays: 8.30am to 6.00pm (inclusive of 1 hour lunch break) • Fridays: 8.30am to 5.30pm (inclusive of 1 hour lunch break) Key Job Roles A. During the School Term • Help teachers to maintain discipline in class (Classroom Management) • Supervise and manage detention class (Responsibly In Action) students in school, mainly in the afternoons (or mornings if needed), Monday to Friday • Support the Discipline Master (DM) and Operations Manager (OM) with handling disciplinary cases • Help manage student movement and behaviour during exams (both internal and national) • Assist to detain/ counsel students outside the General Office (or other areas) until the discipline team (DM/ DC member) is available • Patrol the school compound before, during, and after lesson changes • Help patrol nearby areas in managing students’ misbehavior outside school after school hours or during school holidays. • Help patrol school premises and surrounding vicinity • Help maintain student discipline during school events like Speech Day, CCA orientation, post exam activities, Police, CNB or SS Talks, or Smoking Cessation programmes • Analyse Discipline data such as late coming/ truancy and identify At Risk students for upstream intervention • Help out with basic admin or operations work (like reporting faults or managing stores) when discipline duties is not required • Any other administrative/ operation tasks assigned by the Principal, Vice-Principals, Discipline Master, Administration Manager and Operation Managers B. During the School Holidays • Help to maintain student discipline during any school events or programmes • Help manage students during term breaks, June and November/December Holidays • Help manage students during November Holidays Bridging Programme or similar functions • Assist with home visits together with teachers • Help Discipline Master (DM) and Operations Manager (OM) in handling and managing disciplinary cases • Patrol the school and nearby areas when needed • Help manage students during key events (e.g. release of national exam results, first day of school registration) • Assist with admin/operations work like fault reporting or asset/ store management • Any other administrative/ operation tasks assigned by the Principal, Vice-Principals, Discipline Master, Administration Manager and Operation Managers Requirements • Preferably at least GCE ‘O’ Level Certificate or equivalent • At least 2 years of relevant knowledge and experience in handling teens in school context is preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) • Able to communicate clearly in English • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Can work independently but also a team player Oakdene Recruitment and Services Pte Ltd (EA 25C3149) Dalbeer Kaur (RN R25158911)
