Job Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Document Controller to support project documentation activities within the marine and shipbuilding environment. This role will be responsible for managing project documents, tracking revisions and approvals, and ensuring all records are properly maintained and distributed to relevant teams. The ideal candidate should have experience handling technical documents in marine, engineering, or related industries, with strong coordination and communication skills. Key Responsibilities • Manage and maintain project drawings, specifications, reports, manuals, certificates, and other project documents. • Keep document registers updated with document status, revisions, issue dates, and tracking information. • Ensure all documents are properly filed, organized, and easily retrievable according to company procedures. • Monitor document review timelines and follow up with internal teams on pending reviews or overdue items. • Coordinate and collect review comments and updated documents from project stakeholders. • Distribute approved and latest revision documents to production teams and related departments. • Maintain proper records of issued documents, revisions, and transmittals for project reference. • Support document control activities and ensure document accuracy throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements • Diploma or Degree in Marine Studies or related discipline. • Minimum 3 years of experience in marine, shipbuilding, or related industry. • Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. • Basic understanding of shipbuilding or marine project processes. • Good communication and coordination skills. • Able to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin to support Taiwan-based projects. • Willing to travel occasionally to Batam shipyard for meetings and project support.
