Closing Date : 21 May(12noon) Work Location : Mandai Quarry Road Job Title: Engineer, Platform Systems (Temporary Contract) Contract Duration: 12 months Working Hours • Mon – Thurs : 8:30am – 6:00pm • Friday : 8:30am – 5:30pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break) Salary: $4,216 to$5,700 per month depending on relevant working experience. • Bachelor qualification in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or equivalent related to Automotive) Job Description The job-holder reports to Head Vehicles and will combine technical expertise with strong organisational and communication skills to be part of a dynamic team driving key sustainment strategies, to raise the Reliability, Availability and Maintainability of MHA vehicle fleet. Job Scope The role will focus on vehicle operations and support management, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of SCDF vehicle, and overseeing service contract management with contactors and SCDF officers, and the jobholder will be responsible for the following: Vehicle Operations & Support • Monitor and manage daily vehicle operations to ensure operational readiness and safety • Plan and ensure maintenance and annual vehicle inspections are performed timely • Coordinate with contractor and SCDF Users to resolve operational issues promptly • Conduct vehicle inspections, maintenance activities, quality checks and acceptance for new vehicles/maintenance works done, including evaluating repair scope of work and costs • Collect and analyse vehicle fleet/maintenance data to review fleet reliability and identify measures to improve sustainment of SCDF vehicles with optimum cost effectiveness • Attend meetings and record notes/decisions of meetings • Review maintenance work process and capability gaps and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity and conduct market survey for vehicle upgrade scope • Support/conduct audits on SCDF Fire Stations’ vehicle readiness and compliance Contract Management • Support/lead in managing vehicle maintenance contracts (administrative and technical) • Ensure Contractors compliance with contractual obligations/requirements, including reviewing maintenance records for contract KPI verification • Track and prepare reports on vendor performance, escalating issues when necessary • Review and evaluate contractors’ proposed scope of work for ad hoc/accident repair work Requirements • Bachelor qualification in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or equivalent related to Automotive) • 2 to 5 years of experience in fleet/contract management, with strong knowledge of vehicle systems, maintenance practices, and operational safety standards • Willing to take initiative and drive improvements • Effective and resourceful team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills • Hands-on and comfortable with on-site operations • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, and familiarity in fleet management/data analytic tools If you meet the requirements, please submit your resume directly to eg@businessedge.com.sg • EA License No: 96C4864 Reg.
