About this role
Job Scope• To interact with identified students on a regular basis over a prolonged duration (approximately 4 months) and provide positive mentoring and counselling support for students. • To connect with identified students, build positive relationships and contribute to the holistic development of the students. • To plan and conduct intervention programmes, including house visits where necessary, customised to students’ needs and aligned to the school’s efforts in character development. • To observe and identify some of the key needs of the students and to report such cases to the Student Management Key Personnel and/ or School Leaders for further intervention and support. • To attend case review/ case management meetings with relevant school personnel to provide feedback on students’ needs, programme experience and concerns, so that the school can better support the students. • To conduct themselves professionally in their interactions with the students and school personnel, and work with the Student Management and Student Development teams in supporting the students. Requirements• Youth Workers are required to be registered Social Workers in Singapore or be supervised by a registered Social Worker and have experience or training in fields related to social and emotional learning. • A tertiary qualification in counselling/ psychology/ social work, or relevant experience and expertise. • Preferably at least 3 years of working experience. Relevant experience in the social service sector, working with and supporting at-risk students and families. • To provide a list of current and past training conducted for similar programmes from 1 Jan 2021 onwards. • All Youth Workers should be able to engage and motivate the students in acquiring knowledge and skills via hands-on approach and be skilled in facilitation. • He/ she should have a passion and disposition for working with at-risk students and their families, and a positive belief in their potential. • All Youth Workers should be competent to handle the tasks and responsibilities assigned. Contract Duration: 29 June 2026 to 6 November 2026 (19 weeks) Working Arrangement • 7 hours a day, 4 days a week, 19 weeks, Max up to 532 hours total. • Normal working time 8am to 4pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break. • Exact days to be confirmed with Subject Head, Student Well-being. • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays • There may be an extension of working hours due to exigencies for service. • The school reserves the right to stipulate the work hours when required and subjected to mutual agreement by both parties.
