About the Role: We are seeking a creative and proactive Multimedia Graphic Designer to support our Character and Citizenship Education department. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in conceptualising, designing, and developing engaging visual assets, interactive resources, and curriculum materials that resonate with learners. Key Responsibilities: 1. Illustration & Visual Concepts • Create high-quality original illustrations tailored to educational content. • Develop cohesive visual concepts that simplify complex ideas into engaging imagery. 2. Interactive Resource Development • Design and develop high-quality motion graphics, 2D animations, and video content. • Create comprehensive storyboards to plan the flow of interactive digital resources. • Manage end-to-end projects related to interactive and digital resource development. 3. Resource & Curriculum Design • Conceptualise and produce a wide variety of educational resources, including detailed infographics, professional PowerPoint slides, and curriculum materials. • Flawlessly apply core design principles, typography rules, and colour theory across all assets. Working Hours & Location: • Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30am to 6:00pm (Inclusive of 1-hour lunch break) • Fridays: 8:30am to 5:30pm (Inclusive of 1-hour lunch break) • Rest Days: Off on Saturdays, Sundays, and all gazetted Public Holidays. Job Requirements Qualifications & Experience: • Education: Minimum Diploma or equivalent in Media, Graphic Design, Digital Animation, or a closely related field. • Experience: At least 1 year of professional working experience as a Graphic Designer, Multimedia Designer, or an equivalent creative role. Technical Skills: • Highly proficient in industry-standard creative software, specifically Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and InDesign. • Competent in using Canva for rapid template deployment and asset creation. Soft Skills & Attributes: • Proactive Attitude: Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership over projects. • Multitasking Ability: Able to manage multiple design briefs and meet project timelines simultaneously. • Independence: Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision, while still taking constructive feedback well.
