CONTRACT JOBS!2 Years Contract(with possibility of extension)Harmony Circle Office (HCO) ENGAGEMENT COORDINATORSINGAPOREANS/PRs ONLY ($4,000.00-$4,800.00)LOCATION Central JOB SUMMARY The HCO Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening relationships between religious groups, community organisations, government agencies, and stakeholders to promote social cohesion and racial and religious harmony. The role involves planning and implementing community engagement initiatives, coordinating programmes and national events, facilitating interfaith dialogues and learning journeys, supporting Harmony Circle activities, and assisting with administrative duties, funding evaluations, and stakeholder engagement to foster a more inclusive and connected community. JOB DESCRIPTION • Proactively engage with diverse religious groups and grassroots organisations to strengthen partnerships and communication • Design and implement initiatives to support the needs and aspirations of religious and community-based organisations • Foster partnerships with government agencies, community stakeholders, and private entities to strengthen social cohesion • Serve as secretariat for Racial and Religious Harmony Circles, coordinating activities and programmes that promote inter-religious understanding, including through learning journeys and dialogues • Evaluate engagement strategies and initiatives, and propose improvements to make community engagement more effective • Coordinate Harmony Circle’s support for national events such as Racial and Religious Harmony Month, Chingay, and National Day • Assist with administration of the Harmony Circle Coordinating Council • Assist with the evaluation and disbursement of the Harmony Fund. JOBREQUIREMENTS • Has at least three (3)years’ experience working with community groups - NGOs, VWOs and Government Agencies would be an advantage • Good spoken and written English, proficiency in mother tongue languages and dialects will be an advantage • Strong acumen for data and financials and literacy skills (Microsoft Office software) • Willing and able to assist with ad-hoc tasks • Willing to work on evenings, weekends and/or after office hours engagements with community leaders • Positive attitude andwilling to learn • Able to engage stakeholders and volunteers effectively • High level of initiative with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment. • Able to multi-task,work under tight schedules in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment • Personal interest inbuilding and strengthening community relationships.
