Job Overview We are seeking a proactive IT Resource Engineer to supportIT asset management, inventory control, hardware deployment, and resourcecoordination activities across the organization. This role is responsible forensuring accurate tracking of IT assets, maintaining inventory records,supporting hardware lifecycle management, and providing operational support forIT resource requirements. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizationalskills, attention to detail, and experience managing IT equipment and inventorywithin a corporate environment. Key Responsibilities IT Asset & Inventory Management • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including laptops, desktops, monitors, mobile devices, and peripherals. • Track asset assignments, transfers, returns, replacements, and disposals throughout the asset lifecycle. • Conduct regular inventory checks and asset audits to ensure inventory accuracy. • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment of IT equipment when required. • Ensure all IT assets are properly tagged, recorded, and accounted for. Asset Deployment & Lifecycle Support • Coordinate the deployment, collection, and replacement of IT equipment for employees. • Support onboarding and offboarding activities by preparing and recovering IT assets. • Manage hardware refresh and asset replacement programs. • Coordinate warranty tracking, repair requests, and vendor support activities where necessary. Operational Support • Process and fulfill IT equipment requests from internal users. • Coordinate asset movement across locations and departments. • Support IT projects involving hardware deployment, migration, relocation, or inventory exercises. • Ensure compliance with internal asset management procedures and policies. Reporting & Documentation • Maintain asset registers, inventory databases, and supporting documentation. • Generate periodic reports on asset utilization, inventory levels, and asset movements. • Support internal and external audit requirements by providing accurate asset records. • Ensure all documentation is properly maintained and updated. Continuous Improvement • Identify opportunities to improve asset management processes and inventory controls. • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and asset visibility. • Assist in implementing best practices for IT asset lifecycle management. Requirements • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline. • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT asset management, inventory management, IT operations, or related functions. • Experience managing IT hardware inventory and asset tracking processes. • Good understanding of IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and mobile devices. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. • Experience using asset management systems, inventory management tools, or service management platforms is advantageous. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Good communication and coordination skills. • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Preferred Skills • Knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM) practices. • Familiarity with ITIL processes. • Experience supporting hardware refresh, deployment, migration, or relocation projects. • Experience preparing inventory reports and supporting audit exercises.
