Operations Assistant - Yishun

Contract Period: 1 Jan 2027 to 31 Dec 2027 with an optionto extend the contract for another year Working hours: ·     Mondays to Thursdays: 8:00am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break ·     Fridays: 8:00am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break ·    Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays Scope of Services: ·     Liaising with Contract Cleaners on school operations ·     Liaising with Term contractors and monitoring their work ·    Work closely with Operations Manager Inspection & Checks (Conducted Daily & Report incidents immediately). Walk about to check for ·     Mosquito breeding ·     Pest control ·     Acts of vandalism ·     Water blockage & building seepage ·    Canteen’s hygiene General Maintenance (Fault – reporting) ·     Escort and provide supervision to various Term Contractor when they are in school to carry out repair works. e.g. Tuesday contractor (Building) / Electrical maintenance ·     Simple repairs and carpentry work, e.g. cutting of padlock ·     Resolve simple electrical issues/faults such as power trip ·    Assist in school decoration. Landscaping ·     Check on plants that need to be trimmed and inform Term Contractors / supervise grass cutting. ·     Fishpond Maintenance ·    Maintain spice garden, ensure areas are neat and free from mosquito breeding. Other Duties General Improvement Works ·     Assist in maintaining the Emergency Store ·     Provide prompt feedback of term contractor’s work status. ·    Other duties as and when required by School leaders and Operations Manager. Qualifications, skills and experience: ·       Should have an acceptable level of fitness and resilience to be able to perform the role effectively. ·       Shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills, and experience: (a)   At least a “N” Level Certificate or equivalent. (b)   2 years working experience in a similar job scope and facilities management and landscaping works (c)   Excellent team-player who is organized, meticulous and with the ability to multi-task (d)   Strong communication and interpersonal skills (e) Candidates with relevant experience in school pace environment will be preferred
