Product Manager (Government / Public Sector)

About the RoleOur client is seeking a capable and driven Product Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of digital products that support key public sector initiatives. This role is suited for someone who can operate at both strategic and execution levels—shaping product direction while remaining hands-on to ensure successful delivery and adoption. Key Responsibilities• Take ownership of the full product lifecycle, from problem definition through to delivery and continuous improvement • Engage stakeholders and users to understand needs, define problem statements, and identify opportunities • Develop business cases and proposals to secure funding and align stakeholders • Define success metrics and implement dashboards to track product performance and outcomes • Formulate and drive product strategy, roadmap, and key initiatives • Work closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality product releases • Monitor product performance and iterate based on data and user feedback • Drive user engagement and adoption, ensuring products deliver intended impact • Support onsite engagements where required GIS / Spatial Data Focus• Own and drive the GIS data product roadmap, including data ingestion, harmonisation, and governance across multiple divisions • Translate user needs into clear requirements for data pipelines, metadata, quality controls, and visualisation tools • Collaborate across GIS, data, and UX teams to deliver integrated solutions • Ensure outputs support planning, analytics, and operational decision-making Requirements• Proven experience managing end-to-end product delivery, preferably in complex or large-scale environments • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution • Experience working with data-driven products and defining measurable outcomes • Comfortable working in fast-paced or evolving environments • Alignment with public sector mission and impact-driven work Preferred: • Familiarity with GIS / geospatial technologies (e.g. ArcGIS Server, PostGIS) • Experience in data platforms, analytics, or spatial data systems • Prior experience working on government or public sector projects All information will be kept strictly confidential.
