About this role
Project HR Manager (Singapore) We are looking for an experienced and people-centric HRManager to lead our human resources function in Singapore. This is a hands-onrole well-suited to a seasoned HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced,guest-centric environment and understands the unique talent and operationaldynamics of the hospitality and tourism industry. You will be working closely with the VP Marketing, APAC /Core Market Leader, oversee a small HR team, and serve as a trusted businesspartner to line managers across departments. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning • Lead end-to-end recruitment for all roles, from front-line hospitality staff to mid-management positions • Develop workforce plans aligned with seasonal business cycles and headcount budgets • Build talent pipelines through partnerships with polytechnics, ITE, hospitality schools, and industry bodies • Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and MOM work pass applications (EP, S Pass, WP), if necessary Employee Relations & Engagement • Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, grievances, and disciplinary matters • Design and drive employee engagement initiatives that reduce attrition and build a positive workplace culture • Conduct stay interviews, exit interviews, and act on feedback to improve retention • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across all people programmes HR Operations & Compliance • Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing, including CPF contributions, NS makeup pay, and statutory claims • Maintain HRIS system integrity and ensure all employee records are current and audit-ready • Ensure full compliance with Singapore Employment Act, MOM regulations, PDPA, and industry-specific requirements • Manage government-funded grants and schemes such as SkillsFuture, WSG programmes, and sector-specific workforce grants • Review, develop, and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with corporate policies and local regulatory requirements • Prepare and present payroll summary reports, ensuring accuracy and providing relevant payroll insights to management • Analyze and report HR metrics, including headcount, turnover, manpower statistics, and other workforce-related data to support business decision-making Learning & Development • Identify training needs and coordinate L&D calendars in line with business priorities • Facilitate onboarding programmes that deliver strong first-impression experiences for new hires • Track and submit eligible training hours and claims under SSG/SkillsFuture frameworks Performance Management & Compensation • Administer the annual performance review cycle, including calibration sessions and increment processing • Conduct regular benchmarking against market compensation data to ensure competitive pay positioning • Advise managers on performance improvement plans (PIPs) and manage these processes professionally People Leadership • Lead, coach, and develop a small HR team of 1–3 staff • Set clear KPIs, provide regular feedback, and support the growth of team members • Model a service-oriented, solutions-focused approach to HR delivery Requirements Essential • Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline • Minimum 6–8 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity • Proven track record in the hospitality, tourism, attractions, or F&B sectors • In-depth working knowledge of Singapore Employment Act, CPF Act, and MOM work pass frameworks • Hands-on experience with payroll processing and HRIS platforms (e.g. BIPO, StaffAny, Synergix, Workday) • Strong business partnering skills – able to translate people challenges into practical HR solutions • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels • High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential matters Preferred • IHRP Certification (IHRP-CP or above) is an advantage • Experience managing high-volume shift-based environments • Familiarity with SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC), Career Conversion Programmes (CCP), or WSG schemes • Exposure to hotel pre-opening, attraction launch, or large-scale seasonal staffing surges • Able to start immediately or on short notice
