About this role
This position reports to the Logistics Manager and will be trained to analyze inventory data to support effective inventory management, cost control, and operational decision-making. He/she will learn to ensure data accuracy across ERP systems, monitors inventory performance, identifies trends in consumption, excess, and obsolescence, and learn to deliver actionable insights through reports and dashboards. Exposure working cross-functionally with operations, materials, warehouse, and finance teams to improve inventory health, data integrity, and compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. Learning Outcomes: • Inventory Performance Analysis: Analyze inventory data across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to monitor turns, DOS, accuracy, and inventory health (active, slow, excess, obsolete). • Data Extraction & Validation: Extract inventory and transaction data from SAP / ERP and BI tools; validate data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with physical inventory and cycle unt records. • Cycle Count & Variance Analysis: Support cycle count and physical inventory processes by analyzing variance trends, identifying root causes, and highlighting repeat discrepancies for corrective action. • Excess & Obsolete (E&O) Reporting (Warehouse Storage): Exposure working with MA on regular E&O reports, identify aging inventory risks, and learn to propose data-driven mitigation actions such as usage, reallocation, or disposition and identify Warehouse Storage recording • Dashboard & Reporting Development: Develop and maintain inventory dashboards and standard reports using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools to support management decision-making. • Inventory Cost & Warehouse cost Analysis: Support financial analysis related to inventory valuation, material absorption, and inventory warehouse Cost impact by providing accurate and timely data insights. • Process Improvement & Data Standardization: Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or data inconsistencies in inventory processes and collaborate with planning, warehouse, and finance teams to improve data integrity and process robustness. • Audit & Compliance Support: Provide inventory data, analysis, and documentation required for internal and external audits, including SOX, inventory waivers, and compliance reviews. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production Control, Materials Planning, Warehouse, Finance, and Operations teams to align inventory data insights with operational and business objectives. Technical Skills and Competencies: • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Analytics or Logistics / Operations Management
