The Role We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Part-Time AV/IT Technician to support the day-to-day technical operations of our venue. The role will be responsible for assisting with audio-visual setup, basic IT support, and troubleshooting during events, meetings, live performances, and daily operations. This position is ideal for individuals with practical experience in AV systems, sound equipment, networking, and user support. Key Responsibilities • Set up, operate, and dismantle audio-visual equipment for meetings, events, live band performances, DJ sets, and private functions. • Perform basic sound checks and assist with microphone, speaker, mixer, projector, display screen, and lighting setups. • Provide first-level IT support for staff, including workstation setup, printer troubleshooting, user account assistance, and basic network connectivity issues. • Troubleshoot and resolve AV and IT issues promptly to minimise operational disruptions. • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for technical maintenance and repairs when required. • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of AV and IT equipment. • Maintain inventory records of AV equipment, IT assets, cables, and accessories. • Provide on-site technical support during evenings, weekends, and public holiday events when required. Requirements • Basic knowledge of AV systems, sound equipment, microphones, mixers, projectors, and display technologies. • Familiarity with Windows operating systems, IOS Mac, Microsoft 365, printers, Wi-Fi networks, and general IT troubleshooting. • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. • Prior experience in hospitality, events, entertainment venues, or members' clubs will be an advantage. • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays based on operational requirements. • Experience supporting live bands, DJs, or event productions. Preferred Qualifications • Relevant certifications in AV, IT, or technical support would be advantageous but not essential.
