About this role
Overview We are seeking an experienced and driven Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to lead and strengthen our regulatory compliance framework in Singapore. This role is critical in ensuring full adherence to the Payment Services Act (PSA) and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulations. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CCO will serve as the primary liaison with MAS and provide strategic compliance advisory to senior management and the Board of Directors. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance & MAS Engagement • Act as the main point of contact with MAS on regulatory matters, inspections, and reporting requirements • Ensure compliance with PSA, MAS Notices (including AML/CFT and Technology Risk Management), guidelines, and circulars • Oversee timely submission of regulatory filings, including returns, incident reports, and attestations • Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on business operations • Maintain the organisation’s Compliance Framework, Compliance Calendar, and annual Compliance Plan AML/CFT, KYC & Sanctions • Lead AML/CFT framework implementation, including policies and controls • Oversee customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and sanctions screening • Supervise transaction monitoring and suspicious transaction reporting (STR) • Ensure compliance with FATCA/CRS requirements • Drive staff training on AML/CFT and regulatory obligations Compliance Risk Management • Conduct periodic compliance risk assessments and implement mitigation measures • Evaluate effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements • Oversee compliance monitoring, testing programmes, and audit coordination • Support enterprise risk management, including operational and technology risks Governance & Advisory • Advise senior management and the Board on compliance risks and regulatory expectations • Prepare and present compliance reports to Board and relevant committees • Support licensing requirements, new product launches, and strategic initiatives • Provide compliance input on business continuity planning (BCP), outsourcing, and vendor governance Policies, Procedures & Training • Develop and maintain compliance policies, SOPs, and internal guidelines • Review marketing materials and customer communications for regulatory compliance • Conduct organisation-wide compliance training and awareness programmes Business Edge Personnel Services Singapore EA License No: 96C4864 EA Personnel Reg No: R26159908 (Tan Ying Ying)
