Job Description: Remote Cantonese Interpreter (US Healthcare Support)Position Type: 6 Months + 12 Months Contract (Renewable / Not Permanent) Work Location: 100% Work from Home (Open to any nationality) Schedule: 5 Days a week (Monday to Friday) | Fixed Saturday & Sunday Off Shift Hours: Permanent Night Shift (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM or 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM) – 9-hour working shift including a 1-hour break. Job SummaryThis position provides accurate, real-time Over-the-Phone consecutive interpretation in a first-person style. The interpreter facilitates communication between English speakers and Cantonese speakers across various industries, primarily supporting a vital US-based Healthcare project where you will act as a communication bridge between doctors and patients. ⚠️ Important Track Assignment: This role is strictly for Cantonese language support. Candidates must have exceptional, professional English proficiency in addition to fluent Cantonese. Please note that language tracks are fixed upon hire; employees cannot switch language tracks (e.g., Cantonese to Mandarin) later. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities• Provide accurate, real-meaning consecutive interpretation over the phone between healthcare professionals and patients. • Manage tone, pace, neutrality, and professional demeanor during live, on-call sessions. • Seamlessly filter and translate medical context and conversations without altering the original meaning or adding personal opinions. • Handle urgent, stressful, or sensitive medical calls with absolute composure. • Ensure strict compliance with global privacy, data protection, and medical confidentiality standards. Requirements, Skills, and Abilities• Language Proficiency: Strong speaking, reading, and comprehension fluency in Cantonese, paired with excellent, advanced English fluency (B2+/C1 level). • Education: High School Graduate, SPM, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree holders. • Experience: Open to all experience ranges (0 to 5 years). We welcome fresh graduates/freshers, experienced translators/interpreters, or Customer Service/BPO professionals. • Nationality: Open to any nationality—anyone who meets the language criteria and can work remotely is highly encouraged to apply. • Home Setup: A quiet, private, and dedicated workspace at home with a stable internet connection suitable for live, confidential audio calls. Compensation Package (Converted to SGD)• Basic Salary: SGD 1,260 – SGD 1,510 per month (Negotiable up to SGD 1,575 based on experience) • WIFI / Internet Allowance: SGD 47 per month (For WFH setup) • Night Shift Allowance: SGD 8 per night (Approx. SGD 175 per month based on 22 working days) • Performance Incentive: Based on performance metrics • Total All-Inclusive Monthly Earnings: SGD 1,575+ Comprehensive Corporate Benefits Medical & Health Coverage (Covers Self, Spouse, & Children) • In-patient Medical Coverage: Up to $80,000 USD per individual annually. • Out-patient Medical Coverage: Up to $250 USD per claim (with a 15% co-payment). • Dental Care (Extractions & Fillings): Up to $500 USD per year (Claimable after 90 days). • Dental Care (Scaling): Up to $50 USD per year (Claimable after 90 days). • Optical Benefits: Up to $120 USD for glasses/exams per individual (Claimable after 1 year). ️ Leave Entitlements & Public Holidays • Public Holidays: 20 days per year. • Annual Leave (AL): 10 days for the first 2 years (prorated), increasing to 12 days after completion of 2 years. • Medical Leave (ML): 14 days per year (as per Labor Law). • Maternity Leave: 98 consecutive days for female associates. • Paternity Leave: 7 days for male associates. • Bereavement Leave: 3 working days for the loss of immediate family members.
