Scope of Duties Responsibilities include providing basic first aid and assessing and managing minor injuries and illnesses, strictly in accordance with school policies and established procedures. The role involves maintaining accurate sick bay records, including recording students’ arrival time, departure time, presenting condition, actions taken, and any follow-up arrangements, in line with school documentation requirements. The role requires communication with parents/guardians in accordance with school guidelines, including updating parents/guardians on their child's injuries or current medical situation, and attending to any enquiries they may have. The role also includes ensuring the sick bay is adequately stocked and orderly, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and implementing the school’s emergency response procedures for serious medical incidents, including prompt escalation to designated school personnel and/or emergency services, where required.
