Job Highlights• Work Location: PLQ2 (Level 12, 408533) / Punggol Digital District /Hybrid • Employment Type: 6-Month Contract • Salary: Up to SGD 8,860 Key ResponsibilitiesData Engineering Strategy & Architecture • Lead and implement data engineering strategies and architecture blueprints aligned with business needs. • Evaluate and recommend data platforms and architecture solutions to support evolving requirements, including AI-driven use cases. • Translate business data requirements into scalable, technical solutions. Data Pipeline Development & Infrastructure • Architect and build ingestion pipelines to collect, clean, merge, and harmonize data from diverse sources. • Design and implement secure, cloud-based data infrastructure and access mechanisms. • Develop reusable data models and maintain metadata, lineage, and catalogues using tools such as ER/Studio. Platform Optimization & Operations • Monitor and optimize ETL systems and databases to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability. • Implement batch and real-time data pipelines using modern data technologies. • Apply infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices to data engineering workflows. Governance, Collaboration & Best Practices • Collaborate with data stewards to enforce data governance, quality, and security policies. • Guide stakeholders through greenfield and brownfield implementations from discovery to solution delivery. • Develop standardized frameworks for assessments and solutioning aligned with best practices. • Mentor team members and champion engineering excellence across projects. ✅ Who We’re Looking For• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines. • 5–10 years of experience in data engineering, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering. Required Skills• Strong foundation in data system design, data structures, algorithms, and data architecture modelling. • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Proficiency in Python and SQL. • Experience with distributed data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop). • Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory). • Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Git, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines. • Exposure to Databricks, Snowflake, or Denodo. • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and privacy, especially within regulated environments. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Proven ability to mentor and develop junior engineers or technical teams.
